The wall squat is a great exercise to strengthen the legs and buttocks and is often used as training for skiers and power-lifters. This is a brilliant exercise to do on the go, few spare minutes in a lift or when watching TV, especially if you fancy a stretch out during the ad breaks.
Put your quadriceps strength/ endurance to the test and hold a static (isometric) squat against a wall for 5 minutes. To perform a wall squat you need to slide down the wall and ‘sit’ with your knees bent at a 90 degree angle.

Steve B After a few days without doing the wall squat I thought I'd have some reserve strength to complete the challenge tonight. Not so. I was spent after only 2.10. After a rest I did another 2 minutes, but no completion tonight. :|
