Tyler H The finish line photo! Dirty, scratched, glasses lost (my wife dropped them accidentally), tired, and exhilerated.
Tyler H Under the last of 3 low crawls (respectively, under a fence, a tunnel, and this one with barbed wire); the last obstacle before the finish!
Tyler H Over the first wall. One marked the end of each mile, and another (this one with handholds) was an obstacle. By the end, we began to hate walls. Although, we also realized an easier way to get Jenn over them -- I just knelt, put my shoulders behind her knees, and stood up. She could scramble over from there.
Tyler H Over the "Landmine" stakes. They were affectionately called the "Kung Fu Panda" obstacle by almost everyone.
Tyler H Over the first obstacle, an over-under logs in the mud pond.
Tyler H Jenn and I pose for the pre-race photo. Yes, I'm almost 2 feet taller than her -- that just meant that some obstacles were Tyler-friendly (walls, climbs), and some were Jenn-sized (the bush run, the low crawls).
Tyler H Enjoyed the heck out of the Badass Bash this past Saturday; ran with my boss, Jenn, and both of us agree that we'd do it again next year. The only downside of the race was not enough water stops (only one on the course, which was as advertised, just not well-advised being that we were running in Florida during the heat of the day).
Why not ask for some advice from other Challenge takers, or read some of the Challenge guides first?
OK, I'll keep working at it!Loading
