Kaye D Done! Struggled badly in the last 6 miles, lactic acid in my quads was really painful and i just wasnt very mentally tough. But happy to add the medal to the colection and will return to marathons in a year or so.

Kaye D Chances of doing the marathon are slim to none at the moment. Suffering with an Achilles injury so i just cant get the miles in. Better to be realistic about it while i can still do other stuff like cycling, rowing etc. If it gets any worse i run the risk of not being able to do anything.
So its already less than 13 weeks to go and time is flying. I did a 11.5 mile long run Sunday and it felt ok, i have done 30 miles plus for the last 2 weeks and hope to increase this further over the coming weeks. So far feeling good. I am curious...

Why not ask for some advice from other Challenge takers, or read some of the Challenge guides first?OK, I'll keep working at it!
