This is a good hip opener and can ease and prevent back pain and knee problems.

Done. I did the challenge just before "taking" it to be sure my knee could handle it. :P
I am more flexible than I thought I would be due to my sore knee. It didn't bother my knee at all. :)

Frieda M That's sore! I obviously need to do it for a bit more...
Ana R I used to to this fine when I was a kid and for my surprise, I'm not as bad as I thought. I will keep this as a daily stretch and will mark it done when I see a good improvement in my pose
Tony P Not even close! Yeah, this challenge is going to take awhile...

ah yes, thank you! I do do this pose most days already so was sort of just unsure as to how to mark it complete. Thanks for your suggestions. I think I will just hang onto the challenge til I see further improvement...

Eddie W answered the question Naughty knees?
No...you must make them touch the ground......I suggest piling up dirt under your knees until they touch the dirt.....this way your knees will touch the ground....
Susan S answered the question Naughty knees?
I have been practicing this for years and still can't touch the ground with my knees. There are some people who will never get to the full pose and I am one of them!
Lisa (Mc Alister) P answered the question Naughty knees?
yes, I've known yoga instructors who have practiced for years and their knees don't go all the way down. We all have our areas where we are more open. :)
