Dynamometers are quite expensive (from about £150), where can I find a Dynamometer in London that I can use for free or for a small fee?
Hand and forehand strength is fundamental in cricket and baseball. Pitchers and hitters have to grip and swing the bat, hit and throw. I found a hand dynamometer was really good for testing this strength. The challenge is to achieve above average grip strength scores in both your right and left hand which is 52kg for a man and 30 for a woman. For those of you unfamiliar with a hand dynamometer check out this site http://www.topendsports.com/testing/tests/handgrip.htm. To perform the isometric fitness test you need to hold the dynamometer just above shoulder height. Then squeeze and grip slowly whilst lowering your hand to the side of your right leg. Record the score and repeat with your other hand.

Why not ask for some advice from other Challenge takers, or read some of the Challenge guides first?
