The Five Peaks Challenge is an extension of the increasingly popular three peaks challenge - taking the three peaks of Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon, and adding in Slieve Donard, in Northern Ireland, and Carrantuohill in the Republic of Ireland. This makes the challenge approximately 60km of walking, as well as an overall ascent of 5300m. This challenge is to complete the five peaks in 48 hours - but if you can afford a helicopter it can be done in less than 24 hours.
