Kiernan B Go Barefoot All Summer! Challenge

Kiernan B Have contemplated doing this for quite a while. I'm off all summer long, and usually go barefoot or wear minimalist (Teva Mush) flip flops from June to September. Have previously gone barefoot for 41 days. This year I plan to bare my soles for the entire season. Stay tuned!

I'm a teacher so I have summers off too. You can bet I'm barefoot the whole time!

Meghan L Go Barefoot All Summer! Challenge

Contributorgold Meghan L OK, you know what? It's about 90 degrees here, & there is talk of sending the kids home early today. I've slipped out of my flip-flops & I'm walking barefoot around the classroom.

When the kids come back from lunch let's see how many notice my bare feet & how many follow suit.

Contributorgold Meghan L It's Barefoot Week # 12, & it's been a wonderful barefoot summer!

School starts up next week & teacher meetings & general preparation work started today. I carried flip-flops with me but I haven't actually worn them, so I'm still going barefoot. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get through the rest of the week with bare feet by doing this, but we'll see!

Meghan L Go Barefoot All Summer! Challenge

Contributorgold Meghan L Barefoot week # 7. It's not as hot as it was a week ago, but the milder temperatures still make nice barefooting weather.

Starting to see the summer clearance sales, & back-to-school stuff will be all too soon. I'm really going to hate putting sandals on in a few weeks! :(

Contributorgold Meghan L Barefoot Week # 6. It's been very hot & muggy here, & we have heat advisories running until Friday.

The sidewalk & street is pretty warm underfoot, but still hasn't been unmanageable. It's supposed to cool off by the weekend, but still great barefoot weather!

Contributorgold Meghan L It's week # 5 now. My feet are really tan, & my soles are really hardened.

Thank goodness indeed. I think they're actually harder than my sandals now.

When I was a lot younger I was always barefoot and my soles were tough but the hot pavement was always a problem I never got used to it. And nice to meet you.

I don't know that anyone gets used to hot pavement, just more resistant to it. My soles are really tough, but I've still done the hot-foot dance across parking lots. Just not yet this summer.

David B Go Barefoot All Summer! Challenge

Contributorgold David B Barefoot everyday for about a year now, but not quite everywhere. Still conforming to work dress code that requires shoes. I put them on after getting out of the car, wear them walking into the office, and then take them off again at my desk.

Kudos to you sir. I would think being barefoot almost everywhere would prove to be a very difficult challenge and not widely accepted by everyone,so again my hat goes off to you for your dedication. Impressive indeed. Cheers.
