The goal of this challenge is to get back to nature and go for a single hike - be it in the mountains, in the desert or in the countryside!
Please remember to plan ahead, be prepared and be safe - study trails and maps beforehand, dress accordingly, bring water and your camera!
Go For a Hike Challenge rules
- Hike must be a minimum of 1 hour (roundtrip) in length.
- Share the location of your hike with us!
- Photos are encouraged!
- Hikes done prior to accepting this challenge do not count. Please use this challenge as an excuse to get out on another hike!
- Not all types of physical activity are suitable for everyone. Users take Challenges and training advice at their own personal risk.
Training for the following exercises will be automatically logged against this Challenge:
“Took my dogs for a 2 hour hike on my hobby farm. Most of the property still had snow so it was challenge at times but we made it! Nap time for everyone!”

David W Hiked 3.5 miles at a place called Hickory Hollow. Absolutely beautiful day and a great hike.
Holly L Hiked on the rails to trails near my house, and saw two deer while out! They were so pretty! Also, enjoyed the new growth of spring, and some water along the way!
Nichii N I completed 9 miles hike (in mud) at Manassas Battlefield Park yesterday with the DC Metropolitan Hikers meetup group! Good fun and exercise!
