Anne M No a complete sloppy downpour, but rain.
It is very easy to put off the scheduled run because it starts to rain – but until you have done it you don’t know what you are missing. Get out there and savour this life giving element.

“It wasn't my intention to run in the rain, but the heavens opened the moment I stepped off my driveway! What a relief in this humidity. I was swimming in my shoes by the time I got home....”

Lynn W a soggy 5km run in Sheffield on oh so typical bank holiday weather, no piccies thankfully :))
Cheryl B It wasn't my intention to run in the rain, but the heavens opened the moment I stepped off my driveway! What a relief in this humidity. I was swimming in my shoes by the time I got home....
Lara V Did this a few days ago, unplanned, started with a few drops and I decided that wouldn't hurt me. Got home pretty soaked, but was kind of refreshing
Karen F Unexpectedly nailed this one today, while out on my birthday run. Nothing like a wet winter run to make you feel alive!
Chris D Rained for about 10 minutes this morning. Not drenching, but I had to take off my glasses and make multiple attempts to clear them. 3.57 miles in 34:10. Sunday, 13th of July 2014.
Denise S Went for a 3.27 mile run and it rained for 30 minutes of it. Was drenched, but it felt so good.
Shelia B encouraged this.
Remco V It started of with some OK weather then turned into rain. Only issue, wet shoes for next run. The distance 6 km.
Becky W encouraged this.
Andrea Pablo A It is fun (as long as it is not too cold, and you get a hot shower inmediatly!). And I agree with Ned W, I have a dedicated pair of shoes for this. I use my old race (light) Saucony Kinvara 2.
Bridget C OMG was raining/drizzling when we left but within 2kms we were in the eye of a storm!!! We couldn't lift our heads up to see and the flooding ended up leaving us only running down the median line of the road as the footpaths and gutters flooded completely. So drenched, shoes and clothes squishy and heavy I actually changed clothes at a toilet stop @ 11km before completing the next 8km! Hope I never experience that again!!
Emma P 5km poring down rain! not planned run just had to get out in the rain so i did got a good time for me 29:53mins especially being 2nd run of the day!
Ned W 5km in the rain.
Left the Garmin at home and just went with it. Way nicer than I thought it would be. I'm converted. Better invest in another pair of runners.
Alice B it started raining while I was out and it was really refreshing though did get a bit cold towards the end.
Why not ask for some advice from other Challenge takers, or read some of the Challenge guides first?OK, I'll keep working at it!
