Amanda C I am a little bit of a hypercondriac. One thing in the world I am terrified of is dying in general but also someone close to me dying. I do love living and I should probably thank God everyday in some kind of prayer but Idk in some kind of way I do everyday. Whenever I have something wrong with me I think the worst case scenario. I am scared of dying in a painful horrible way. Your illnesses diseases. Things like that. I do understand everyone has to leave one day and yes I do not want to go through something horrible. I want to go nice and old in my sleep. I guess the one thing I am scared of is whats next after we are gone. I don't like the thought of leaving people behind and or missing out on life. This is of course if I went at a young age. But truthfully I don't want to be alone when I am old either. Husband, parents and siblings gone. I do hope I have children one day and pray they will be around. I know this is long a really boring to you haha. But I do cherish and love my life. I am thankful I am alive. And I do feel I should be doing something great or giving back or doing something good for the Earth because so many lives are takin' for unexplained answers and I just think to myself "I got to live my life and they didn't. So why me"?
Remind yourself how fortunate you are to breathe, to walk, to see, to be strong and healthy. It can be easy to take the miracle of life for granted.

Karen D I work with respiratory nurses who look after patients with COPD. To hear the patients being so positive while having a disease which will unfortunately kill them makes me realise how lucky I am to be fit and healthy.

Simone B I am extremely grateful to have the life I have and to be surrounded by so many wonderful friends and supportive family members. I am also VERY fortunate to have such a great medical support network with my illness (bipolar). Several years ago I was so distraught and unhappy that I did not want to even leave my house and now I am out chasing my dreams and mixing with people and loving life. I cannot ask for more! I live each day now thankful for the dark times cause they have made me strong and made the good times just that much sweeter!! :)))
Gordana M After many expected and unexpected course changings in my life I've learnt how to be happy just because I am - no conditions. So, my first and my last thought is gratitude!
Jaanika N For a year ago, I had to times my guardian angel on my shoulder -I had to have him/her there - or I would not to be in live. I was so tired in that time, so I fall in sleep when I was driving a car (1 time I was alone and 2. time with my 2 years old son with me). I did not crash - thank heaven, but it made me to realize, what I have and that I needed to change something in my life. So we moved to another country and I changed my work and I founded sport again. Now I´m feeleng great again, I have time for myself and for my family and I´m so greatfull for that.
Lisa B I would say over the past year I have become a more positive person. Had a co-worker of mine ask me to be her Life Coach. Wow!! Talk about a surprise!! I try to stay positive. I try to take in and appreciate the simple things. I am thankful for all of the things I have. I appreciate nature and being in nature, taking hikes, camping, sitting at the beach, etc. Life is wonderful!
Cheryl Y Today I had a moment after leaving the gym. I felt light, I could feel the breeze on my skin, I felt hot and cold and but kinda giddy and I just took in everything around me,,, notice the people walking, the shops and how the sky appeared as I walked to my car and just said thank you to God for just being able to experience life, being healthy, having friends and family, the opportunity to go to the gym after work and just do whatever I felt that would uplift me. It was great!
Dave W Almost 4 years ago I contracted swine flu (H1N1) and a serious chest infection/pleurisy, made worse due to asthma.. It took me about 1 month to build back up to just walking to the corner shop and back and a lot of effort after that to get back into exercise full time. I joined TS and have spent 10 weeks training, missing only 4 or 5 days.... I'm thankful for my health and strength, despite still needing my inhaler from time to time !!
Russ B I am lucky enough to have many great things and people in my life. I try to be grateful for the good stuff but do tend still to focus on the negatives overmuch. I will keep this challenge open while I strive to get a daily positive attitude.
Ashley M I am so greatful for my boyfriend and my family and especially my child. He was born with a birth defect where no one thought he would lead an okay life, but everyone is wrong because he is developmentally on track and we now know he will walk, talk, and feed himself when he gets older. It was a complete miracle to find out. :)
Hannah T I feel guilty for not doing this more often. I seem to get so swept up with the hustle and bustle of daily life that I forget to appreciate the things in life my family and I have. I'm thankful for my wonderful husband-to-be; I'm grateful for all of my family even if they are a bunch of nutters! I'm so, so blessed to still be able to talk to my Grandad at 85 years old - he's still going. Most of all, I'm grateful for everyday that I am able to just get up and walk, not have too many worries weighing me down and really take in the world around me. You never know when something may take it all away. I am grateful that I have had the experience of life so that I know no matter how horrible things get, they will always get better in some way. Life will always be full of ups and downs; the difference between stepping stones and stumbling blocks is how you use them.x
Amanda S Sitting my friend's boat today looking at one of the familiar places & faces i've known from living in this area all my life, it hit me that i'm so thankful for the few good people i have left in my life & the beautifully natural area i live in....after two very difficult years of finding myself out in the world, away from everything & everyone i've grown up knowing, i'm thankful for the life experiences & the path that has lead me back 'home' to see all the beauty with fresh eyes.
Ptan;8} * Yesterday, I took a stroll in the public garden after I'd my evening run. Reflected on paast few months of what I've done & achieved..
