Nurullah K 30...
A good challenge to strengthen your abdomen, arms and wrist.
1. Put your hands flat on ground. Lift your heels and start shifting your weight on hands.
2. Lift your legs and keep balancing and keep balancing on your hands. Breathe in and out regularly and keep stretching your back in order to free your chest.
Hand balancing(Crane pose) for 30 seconds Challenge rules
“This was challenging indeed. Four failed attempts. And then I remember what my yoga teacher told me about the pose - fix your stare at one point on the ground in front of you. So on the fifth try, I stopped minding the clock and kept my gaze at that one point on the ground. I was able to hold it for 46 seconds. Namaste.”

Remjie D created the guide How To Hold The Crane Pose
Once you get into the pose, fix your gaze at one point on the ground in front of you. Don't mind the clock. Count 15 breath cycles (15 inhales and 15 exhales) instead. By the time you're done, it should be well over 30 seconds.
Jerome N Holding Crane for 30 secs was more challenging than I thought it would be, but I did it!
Dorcas H Progress indeed, I'm up to a whole 3 seconds. I am being held back by my toes, which are magnetically attracted to the ground. How soon will the swelling on my forehead go down?
Thanks Margaret :) You really need a sense of humour to persevere with this one. I think this may well be one of those challenges that sits in my "Challenge List" for years despite my best/regular efforts. Who knew 30 seconds of Crane Pose would be about as achievable as me walking on the moon?!
Margaret S encouraged this.
I found another tutorial video this one interestingly tells you not to lift your legs http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=eXLWMHANqlw
That's a really good video, Margaret. Perhaps I have been making a mountain out of a molehill because of zero technique. Going to give this a bash again tomorrow but only when the kids and spouse have left the house. That way, if I literally go 'arse over tit' I'll still have my street cred/dignity intact :D
