The squat is a very therapeutic position for the human body, especially for barefoot runners as it develops the skill of maintaining the body’s centre of mass over the natural balance point of the body (ball of foot) whilst building strength and range of movement in the ankles, knees, hips and spine. These attributes combined enable the barefoot runner to develop the fundamental movement skill of segmental alignment which is more commonly known as posture.

Dave W I actually found this fairly easy ! BUT, standing back up was an entire challenge on it's own ! ;-)
Anita M Did 1 minute on the balls of my feet and 1 minute with flat feet. I found doing it with flat feet was a lot more challenging!
Anubhav S Haha that's a common posture to sit on the floor in India by the countryside. People there can do this for hours!
Maria B Hahaha, It´s really funny to discover the limitations of ones body... At first I didn´t get how to even make a squat that deep. My heals was lifting.. Then when I got down I could´t keep my balance... So I had to hold on to a chair. Well, it gave me a nice stretch and I have a real challenge ahead if I ever will complete this one...
