Hula hooping is great for balance, co-ordination, flexibility and its a great thing to be able to show off if you can't juggle.

Hula Hoop for a minute Challenge rules

  1. For this challenge you need an actual hula hoop not a wii fit balance board
  2. You must keep it up on your hips or torso for a minute - spinning it around your hand does not count.
  3. Not all types of physical activity are suitable for everyone. Users take Challenges and training advice at their own personal risk.

I bought mine in Melbourne but I was told to choose a larger one (not like the children store ones) and weighted as they are easier to use at first :) good luck Carol, have fun

Ruth C Hula Hoop for a minute Challenge

Contributorgold Ruth C I was looking at these in Asda tonight and I was really tempted to complete the "I did it while..." challenge and do it in the aisle, but my husband wasn't there to timekeep!

You can count to 60, right? :D

I stop at 50 on Thursdays, had it been a Tuesday I could have gone all the way to 100! :op Besides I'm all about the accuracy Neil, I wouldn't want to short change the challenge!

Neil C encouraged this.

If you use the "1-elephant-2-elephant-3…" counting cadence and property enunciate "elephant" when counting in your head, you'll won't short change the challenge :)

Thanks for the tip - I'll see how the class goes, if I get the bug I might just invest in my own hoop! :-)
