Elmarie D 6 weeks of training and clean eating and I have lost 2. 4kg. I am more focused on decreasing my fat % to 15 (currently 25 %) and increasing my muscle mass (currently 32.5 %). I have increased my muscle % with 0.6% and decreased my fat % with 1.1%.
Losing a stone in weight isn't necessarily for everyone, but if you know you are carrying some excess weight (more than a stone), you should be aiming to burn fat and lose a stone as a good target.
Take it steady and dont't resort to drastic changes that you won't be able to keep up, instead look to make sustainable changes to your lifestyle that will last in the long term.

“Christmas 2011, I weighed 74kg (the most I'd ever weighed and I felt horrible). Thanks to a friend persuading me to do Great North Swim 2012, I set off on a fitness regime that has stuck and become part of my lifestyle. I got down to 63kg ahead of the swim and have maintained a steady 66kg and ideal BMI ever since.”

Lilia V My second attempt at this challenge start today....My strategy is to eat lots of fruit & veg salads, pasta and snack on crispy rye bread between meals. 1 fish and 1 red meat meals a week to keep omega 3 and iron levels topped up. Full fat milk and natural cottage cheese for calcium - a must. No cheese, cakes, fizzy drinks, sweets or big meals! Let's see how this goes...

Dan G Since the last time I posted here, three months ago, I have somehow managed to put back on all the weight that I lost, and possibly a bit more besides. Just weight myself, three weeks into a summer holiday that's been packed with sport, and I'm back up to 88.4kgs. Depressing. So, we begin again, without cheese or chocolate. New target is to drop the stone by the time my first minion is born - my wife is currently seven and a half months pregnant. Tally ho!
Dawn N Will be starting today; make an effort to not drink soda, eat bread, or sweets..drink more water as well and be disciplined with my workouts.
