Losing a stone in weight isn't necessarily for everyone, but if you know you are carrying some excess weight (more than a stone), you should be aiming to burn fat and lose a stone as a good target.
Take it steady and dont't resort to drastic changes that you won't be able to keep up, instead look to make sustainable changes to your lifestyle that will last in the long term.

“Christmas 2011, I weighed 74kg (the most I'd ever weighed and I felt horrible). Thanks to a friend persuading me to do Great North Swim 2012, I set off on a fitness regime that has stuck and become part of my lifestyle. I got down to 63kg ahead of the swim and have maintained a steady 66kg and ideal BMI ever since.”

Janeen P In May 2013, I weighed 274 pounds. When I started Tribesports (end of August?) I was at 265. Today--248! A long way still to go, but I'm going...
Steve M encouraged this.
Scott W So to record this fully i guess i should post my starting weight: 19.26 stone, 122.3kg, 269.64lbs...this is gonna be a long road!
V J R At the beginning of the yr (New Years Day to be exact) I weighted in at 240lbs and ever since then I've been trying to get my self down to at least 225lbs or 220lbs so with that I take this challenge to at least have myself down to 224 by the end of the yr, I'm currently at 229lbs...I'll enter my weight everyday during the week!
Jenn B I'm down 7lbs in one month. I know its because of the Vegan Diet Challenge, so I'm not banking on keeping the 2lbs in past 3 days off :0( But we'll see!
Why not ask for some advice from other Challenge takers, or read some of the Challenge guides first?OK, I'll keep working at it!
