Emma T Managed to loose 2lbs! Broken the 11.5st barrier and finally the weight loss journey has begun! It may be only 2lbs, but I'm really pleased
Losing a stone in weight isn't necessarily for everyone, but if you know you are carrying some excess weight (more than a stone), you should be aiming to burn fat and lose a stone as a good target.
Take it steady and dont't resort to drastic changes that you won't be able to keep up, instead look to make sustainable changes to your lifestyle that will last in the long term.

“Christmas 2011, I weighed 74kg (the most I'd ever weighed and I felt horrible). Thanks to a friend persuading me to do Great North Swim 2012, I set off on a fitness regime that has stuck and become part of my lifestyle. I got down to 63kg ahead of the swim and have maintained a steady 66kg and ideal BMI ever since.”

Dan G Since the last time I posted here, three months ago, I have somehow managed to put back on all the weight that I lost, and possibly a bit more besides. Just weight myself, three weeks into a summer holiday that's been packed with sport, and I'm back up to 88.4kgs. Depressing. So, we begin again, without cheese or chocolate. New target is to drop the stone by the time my first minion is born - my wife is currently seven and a half months pregnant. Tally ho!
Dawn N Will be starting today; make an effort to not drink soda, eat bread, or sweets..drink more water as well and be disciplined with my workouts.

Lara V starting weight: 11.57 stones. going for 10.57 before september. must be possible when I will soon be able to workout again :)
Emma T Dropped the ball in this one and gained 1/2 a stone (back up to 11.5 stone)! I just have to get back in the saddle and start again.
Aleksandra M encouraged this.
Musicool W I managed to gain the 1lb back which I lost. I darent look at the scales. However I am sticking to a largely healthy diet and look slimmer, despite being heavier. Probably from running. Also the running is easier for me now Im fitter...so will try to stick with this.
Dan G Lost over 9 lbs since taking the challenge a couple of months ago. Getting there, slowly but surely.
Robyn S encouraged this.
Musicool W I have lost 1lb, it has taken 3 days of hard running and diet modifications: A normal breakfast, salad lunch and fruit for tea. It has taken about 5 days in total. I hope to lose a stone this month, so please any encouragement and tips would be helpful because it is so tempting to nibble things!
Dan G So far, I'm down about six pounds after a month. Should have this completed by the summer holiday.
Why not ask for some advice from other Challenge takers, or read some of the Challenge guides first?OK, I'll keep working at it!
