For a period of one week avoid adding sugar or sweeteners to your hot drinks.
A recent study in America has likened sugar to poison for the effect it has on our bodies over time. Kick the sweet stuff into touch!
Start with small steps, knocking sugar on the head in one go may cause withdrawal symptoms especially when you consider how much you might be eating without realising....

“If somebody stirs their sugary cup of coffee with a spoon, then uses it to stir mine, I wouldnt be able to drink it. That is simply because sugar is so repelling for me.”

Graham H i have not has sugar in my coffee since Nov 7th its mow Dec 9th - i am so proud and shallow :)
Mark H Really clicked on this by mistake and was just about to get rid of it, but it's something everyone should try and do. Strangely enough my motivation was reading a book called "Pure White and Deadly" it disgusted me so much that I stopped having sugar in everything, it took a concerted effort to remember to add sugar to cakes and other cooked desserts. Try going cold turkey rather than reducing or replacing sugar.... Good luck!!!

Kirstie M how annoying, I'll have to start this again. I hadn't realised that the iced tea I had over the weekend had sugar in it, until I had another yesterday evening from the same place (Nandos Robois lemon flavour). That'll teach me to research things properly!

Why not ask for some advice from other Challenge takers, or read some of the Challenge guides first?OK, I'll keep working at it!
