Lovella M Finished 15 sessions so far, and I'm deciding whether to continue or not...I just have too many catching up to do. Hah!!
Lovella M Day 14/Session 11: New teacher this evening, and it just felt flat...I felt I could do a back-to-back after but need to run early tomorrow morning...I still had a few yawns between some poses...not that I'm doing really well in them, but I dunno, been a sleepyhead since Saturday (one day off after 6 consecutive days of attending).
Lovella M Day 13/Session 10: Sunday 9am class, my earliest so far, I was yawning in between poses ;-/ But it felt soooo good feel healthy, standing and walking tall and strong in the morning. It made for a really nice Sunday morning :)
Tracey B I have already completed 14 as of today. I am up for this challenge.
Wow, congrats! I'm finding it really hard to fit one daily in my sched :( I hope I finish the 30days! On Day 14 today, but just about to do my 11th session :/
Lovella M Day 11/Session 9: My backpain for two days seemed to have gone...Corrected triangle, fixed firm and spine twisting poses too...better hydration too - no more stiffening of fingers and hands probably due to coconut water I have been drinking the past 3 days. :)
Well done!
Thanks! :)
Lovella M Day 10/Session 8: It was a bit of a struggle to go to class. I wanted to catch some snooze instead. without my buddy yogini, motivation slightly declined...However, what have i got to lose for allocating 90mins of my day for something that will really benefit my body? It's just 90mins and not forever anyway...Had to revisit my reasons for taking on this challenge (wanting to see how my body will transform even if the number on the scale remains the same; believing that if i finish this, I have significantly better chances of finishing my first marathon in Feb; giving myself my ME-TIME amidst pressures at work and elsewhere)...so I went and smiled a little when I saw my deltoids glisten with sweat while doing the head-to-knee poses. :)
Lovella M Day 9/Session 7: Happy that teacher today commented that I'm improving! :) I noticed tho that I did better in the camel and full locust poses but worse for the balancing poses...I'm also happy that quite a number of colleagues mentioned that I seemed to have lost weight (after not seeing me for 4 working days)...even if the number on the scale remains the same. :) I will keep doing bikram yoga! :)
Lovella M Day 8/Session 6: Same instructor as yesterday, and I felt I did better on most postures. I was dehydrated though and my fingers and feet stiffened - could be due to dehydration or improper breathing. :( ... I ran 6km this morning too. :)
Lovella M Day 7/Session 5 (corrected my day count towards day30): Instructor was new today. She did demos and fully explained the benefits of most postures and did a lot of correcting. I think this session had me really sweating for the first two poses...once a day is okay...but i'm starting to miss running a bit. :( Hope i can be disciplined and strong enough to run in the morning and do bikram yoga at night.

Lovella M Day 3/Session 4: My first time to attend a weekend session. 'Twas good to see more new faces. Came in early so i had a good rest prior to starting the session. First time for me to do the fixed firm pose properly. :) felt really good after the session, thinking I could do doubles if there was a next session...Tiredness kicked in later in the night, which resulted in a really good sleep. :)
Irene S I thought I will have doubles today. It turned out there is only 1 session in the afternoon. Thus, the first session was a sleeping yoga session doing the corpse pose. I had a good rest and a good conversation with the Bikram Yoga Manila owner. Bikram # 8 was a great opportunity to go beyond my comfort zone. There was fear in going beyond and I was present to the emotion and to the conversation in my head that I am too ol to start Bikram yoga. I was surprised that I was able to do the bridge and camel pose. Yes, I am too old BUT not too old to do greater things.
Caroline W and Lovella M encouraged this.
Lovella M Day 2 (1107) - Couldn't have done doubles without my Bikram buddy - Irene Songco - :) It was surprisingly better, a bit more relaxing and doable. However, I could not sleep well that night, likely due to over-exertion. So the next day, the effects kicked -i felt sore all over, and was super sleepy. :(
Thank you! I had fun with Bikram knowing you are also enjoying it too!
Lovella M encouraged this.
Irene S Bikram #6 and #7, I was really pushing beyond my limits. What in the world am I doing doubles for 2 consecutive days? Well, I have done it and now I took 2 days of rest. Tomorrow, I am going for my 8th and 9th session.
Over-over! Major-major! Double doubles!! :)
Irene S Bikram #4 and #5. My first doubles of Bikram Yoga. I completed it. The first session was difficult considering the lack of space due to a lot of Bikram students. The 2nd session was a test of integrity and determination. There were a lot of conversations in my head not to do the 2nd session. I think I came up with 20 reasons not to do the 2nd. At last, the determination to go beyond my limits won! The 2nd session was better.
Lovella M Bikram Yoga Day1: Ran -walked for about 2km to get to the class on time...My 6th session but after a 2 month interval...Just like my first time, it was hard to breathe. Didn't help that there were too many students in the class...Couldn't move my arms well after, and felt really hungry after the class.
Irene S Bikram Yoga #3 of 30 It was fantastic on the 2nd session of the day.
Irene S Bikram Yoga #2. I am doing another session this afternoon. I wonder how my body will react.
Irene S TODAY, I start my Bikram Yoga 30 day challenge.
DONE.
you started na???

Billy B answered the question What is the difference between Yoga and Bikram Yoga?
I disagree, its not all hat-ha ...may have similiar componentrs, but not the same....hence different names for different practices
Karthik T answered the question What is the difference between Yoga and Bikram Yoga?
in my opinion everything is Hatha yoga. Bikram is a brand name or style. It doesn't matter where you do it, you are doing hatha in the end.
Cags R Was just down at the Hot Bikram Yoga studio and saw a lady who had just completed her 20th, hope she sticks at it, this Challenge is TOUGH!!
