Everyone wants to do something good for someone else and it's an added bonus if you do it through a sport you enjoy. I have posted a similar challenge but this one is more achieveable. The challenge is to raise some money, any amount, through any sporting event, for any charity in 2012.
Raise money for charity through sport. Challenge rules
“Everyone should do this at least once in their life. It does not matter how much money you raise - whatever you do is helping someone. It emotionally and physically rewarding. :)”

Hi guys fortunately for my chosen charity Down's syndrome Scotland and unfortunately for me I seem to developed marathon fever!!!,From the success of completing with great difficulty my first marathon in May I developed an arthritis related injury on the 13 mile which led me to run fast limp run fast limb the rest of the way to the finish so I have two goals 1: raise money and awareness and 2: and complete by running the full distance. I've decided to participate in the Loch Ness marathon this September 30th 2012, and I need your help to make all the blood sweat and tears worth it. DONATE NOW!.. Just by visiting my justgiving site your just a few clicks away from making someone who has Down's syndrome the chance to live their life to their full potential!..;-)http://www.justgiving.com/roy-curtis2
And just a wee bio of me, I am a wannabe athlete who has Rheumatoid arthritis which is a part of me but not me!..
