Running 5k in under 30 minutes is the first time for distance goal you should be working towards as a beginner runner. Some might be able to do it first time round but for most newcomers it might take a little bit of training before you can run a 5k.

Alex D 30:07 tonight. So close!! I ran so hard for the line when I realised how close I was but could not quite do it. I never thought I would be that close and hadn't looked at my watch! Next time!

6km in 36min. Two more runs like this, and then I'm going for 5km/30min
Beth H This is my second run in over a week since I started running again after giving birth to my 4th baby. I ran a 5k today in 27:49, not where I was but not bad considering
Nikki F Tried on Saturday and got 32mins 41 secs which is not bad considering haven't run a 5km for about 8 years. Will be trying again this Saturday
