With the weather being as hot as it is running in the middle of the day can be a bad choice. Getting up early and running before it gets too hot is a better option. And the energy that an early morning run gives you lasts throughout the day.

  1. Run for at least twenty minutes without walking.
  2. The run has to be over before 8am.
  3. Not all types of physical activity are suitable for everyone. Users take Challenges and training advice at their own personal risk.

Sam S Run before 8am every other day for a week Challenge

Contributorgold Sam S Day 1 yesterday. Getting up early is hard, but ran to work to be time efficient. Not sure I'll be doing that again. Short pre shower jog tomorrow for Day 3 of the challenge.


I have found that the third day of starting a new exercise is the hardest. All the plausible excuses make their presence felt. If I cross that, the enjoyment phase of exercise starts.


You must be right Puneet, I didn't run on my day 3...I did cycle but that's not the challenge, so I'll have to start over again. Once I get past the barrier I'll get into a good routine I guess!
