Run for 30 mins without walking to improve your endurance

If you are new to running its common to get tired and out of breath when you run. To build endurance in your running as a beginner, aim to increase the time you can run without stopping or walking as a break.

The target for this challenge is to run for 30 minutes without walking or stopping to take a break.

Challenge rules

“This was new for me. I never do long running sessions for the fear of losing muscles. My endurance was good because of HIIT training (bat out of hell for 30sec, slow walk for 30 sec). I was running at about 65-70 percent of my HIIT speed i.e. about 8-9mph. No incline. ”

From your profile I'm sure you're able to do 30 minutes, just go very slowly. When you first start, it's the time you spend running that matters. Indeed, I can't see any problem with running on the spot for this challenge!

The training went surprisingly well! there were moments when I wanted to stop and walk. I pushed through it. It felt great to accomplish this goal!

Kabrina C Run for 30 mins without walking to improve your endurance Challenge
First day in my new (amazing) sneakers (yay!) plus I haven't run in awhile so I took it easy instead of pushing myself too hard (which tends to end badly) so this is a little (lotta) slow but I'm just happy I got through the 30 minutes without stopping and without really being tired or even out of breath (especially with my allergies and all this pollen trying to destroy me!)
  • 4.43 km of Running in 0:30:00
  • 0.93 km of Walking in 0:10:00
