Set a new Personal Best (PB)

The idea of this challenge is to improve your racing pace. Every runner already has their PB but don't just click on COMPLETE. Set your mind to get a brand new personal best and go for it. Prepare your training plan, pick an event, train and then come back and share your achievement. The challenge starts now!

Set a new Personal Best (PB) Challenge rules

  1. Pick any distance but preferably it should be your main distance.
  2. There is no time limit for this challenge.
  3. Not all types of physical activity are suitable for everyone. Users take Challenges and training advice at their own personal risk.

Kai C Set a new Personal Best (PB) Challenge

I want to get my 5k time under 21:00 and my 10k in under 45:00 within the next month starting today Feb 16th. So by March 16th hopefully I will have completed this challenge.

I have been doing lots of 10k and 2.5 k runs too. I think that changing it up, speed and distance, has really helped out.

No problem! If you haven't done a longer run before, just set out as if for a 5k but slow it down a couple of notches. Then just continue, with no pressure, just enjoy the run. If you maje 10k, awesome if not try again. Make small milestones. I will run till the next 10 minute mark, I will run for 1 more km and keep doing that until you get all the way.

Thanks everyone! I know I can too. If I'd realized I was that close, I probably would've made some different choices running today. :) Katie, I want to be under 30 by March. We'll see how that goes,

Neil, good to hear from you! 4:07 is fantastic, well done! If you're gonna hit the wall I'd say mile 15 is a popular mile to do it in! sorry to hear the last few were torture. I took 3 days off work to recover & boy did my legs need it! getting a deep tissue massage 2moro!
