Set a new Personal Best (PB)

The idea of this challenge is to improve your racing pace. Every runner already has their PB but don't just click on COMPLETE. Set your mind to get a brand new personal best and go for it. Prepare your training plan, pick an event, train and then come back and share your achievement. The challenge starts now!

Set a new Personal Best (PB) Challenge rules

  1. Pick any distance but preferably it should be your main distance.
  2. There is no time limit for this challenge.
  3. Not all types of physical activity are suitable for everyone. Users take Challenges and training advice at their own personal risk.

Yes, Run4Kids in 2 weeks, Geelong half at the end of April then Run Melbourne half at the end of July. I will have to look for something during May and June. What is in your running diary?

Run4Kids 15k, Go the Extra Mile 50k walk end of April, Mother's Day Classic 8k in May, perhaps Emer Casey 10k at Monash Uni in Clayton end of May, looking at Traralgon Half June 15, then Run Melb Half in July, Adelade Half in August, Connor's Run 18k in Sept and then probably the Melb Marathon full again in October

Rush F Set a new Personal Best (PB) Challenge

Contributorsilver Rush F I haven't run a 5k since high school (2005). I am trying to set a personal best, and I am about 4:30 away as of now. I've got my work cut out for me. 23:30 in my last timed training run, and shooting for 19:00.

Contributorgold Elisa V Just finished a 5k race in my best race time of 0:36:30, after being off my feet with an ankle injury. Very happy to start the new year this way :-D Now I would like to do a 10k in 1:10:00 (current personal best is 1:14:23)

2. Complete a 3km run - 1.737km so far ***

Pepper P Set a new Personal Best (PB) Challenge

Contributorgold Pepper P My PB are: for HALF MARATHON --- 1 h 28 min 49 s, and for MARATHON --- 3 h 14 min 21 s. My wish is to improve them both little by little :).

How much of a prat do I feel ? ; These are the PBs I set myself, not achieved - should have made it clearer :-( BUT, since you have all been so supportive, I AM going to hit all these targets on Saturday no matter what !! Thank you everyone ! ;-)

Contributorgold Brad N I am determined to lower my “park run” PB this year now that I am back running from injury! I did injure myself in the process of trying to set a new PB a few months ago, so easy does it lol at the moment my park run (5k) record sits at 25 minutes!
