Pre-run caffeine has been shown to enhance performance and endurance, so you may notice a little boost during your runs. However, if you're doing a race of 10K or longer, don't consume more than 200 mg of caffeine (about 2 cups of coffee). Some experts believe too much caffeine may increase risk of cardiac events while running.

Ellen L Tried it before the Leeds 10k -not sure it worked but it did mean I built in more Pre race time and was more relaxed :-)

Marianne H Had a great run on tuesday after a coffee but it didn't help on thursday or friday... or if it did I can't imagine how awful the run might have been without it!

Why not ask for some advice from other Challenge takers, or read some of the Challenge guides first?OK, I'll keep working at it!
