“I tried a guava for the first time. Quite an overpowering flavour, I didn;t enjoy all the seeds and I couldn't really work out whether to eat the skin or not. Oh, and don't out them in a lunchbox with sandwiches or your cheese and tomato sarmies will end up tasting like guava as well. They're OK, but won't be at the top of my shopping list any time soon! In South Africa you can buy at the supermarkets in season. Not sure about elsewhere - they grow well in sub-tropical climates.”

Karen L Bought these little fellas in M&S yesterday. Flower Sprouts - a cross between brussel sprouts & kale. Will let you know after dinner if that's actually what they taste like :-)
Janna C I am struggling with this one! There's not much I haven't eaten. I bought a pomegranate for the first time thinking I'd only ever had the juice. But once I cut it open I realised that I'd had it in a bean salad last week! Will hold off on pushing complete until I find a vege...

Ryan B Tried a plantain. Not sure I get it,it wasn't super sweet like bananas. It wasn't great. I definitely prefer bananas.
Amanda M i tried samphire for the first time, so tasty and not sure how i've not come across it before, it and spinach are so ideal with everything but especially fish :)
Lisa (Mc Alister) P ok, I was in my local produce section and realized I have never tried a pomegranate. So, I got it and enjoyed it with 2 of my boys...but I DO still plan on going to our local Asian Market and getting something even more unfamiliar. :)
