Newest answer

Wow, congrats to all of you. My son and I are the odd man out in my close family in Mt. I come from huge family of Italians on my moms side. Exercise is a nasty, dirty word to them. I tend to avoid family functions for the most part since they are centered...

Does age factor into the times?

Question • 1 answer

The Boston Marathon has qualifying times, based on gender and age, it seems unrealistic to have the same qualifying time for all ages.

Newest answer

I agree it is strange, both London and New York take age into consideration as well. But Chicago this year opted for a different, one-size-fits-all strategy for some reason. Don't know why...but next year (entry is now closed) qualification might change a...

Can we use Exercise Ball Crunches?

I've just about stopped doing standard crunches and only ever do the exercise ball version, fo a better stretch and less aggravation to my lower back. Can I count these towards this challenge ?

Newest answer

Creator of this challenges agrees with everyone that any crunches can count. At first I did want ONLY REG. crunches but since the rep count is high and the challenge is nearly over so that we can all start http://tribesports.com/challenges/boys-vs-girls-fir...

I enjoy running while I listening to my favorite tunes.

Of course it's okay! In fact, it's better with some music. It keeps you going! Well, at least it does for me? But I guess you would wanna take those ear piece off when reaching the finishing line, cause that when you feel the sense of accomplishment; when y...

when to do Insanity/combine it with running routine

Question • 2 answers

Hello, I'm thinking of starting Insanity and incorporating it in my fitness routine. I'm a runner and run daily with my dog in the early morning. Shall I do Insanity before or after the run? I am not fond of exercising in the evening so early mornings are i...

Newest answer

Another thought would be to look into the FIRST training method that is in the book run  less run faster. It breaks down a schedule that would work cross training like insanity in to it. I am back to working on base miles because of an injury, but in a coup...

Question • 1 answer

Newest answer

It is a 30 day challenge and I would say that's when it is complete. If at the end you are not able to touch to forehead to your knees, it is up to you to continue.  If you achieve this pose earlier, enjoy the rest of the challenge perfecting it.

I'm at the amazing age of 45 by the way .... blushing. Is this normal? Does this happen to you all (male/female)? Signed up for a few races this summer and want to be prepared.

It's psychological with me.  No matter how much I wee before a race/run, I always need to go once I start and up until about 3k.  Then it passes.

Question • 4 answers

Way back I found the "Drop 10" workout and supposedly you can drop 10lb in 2 weeks. It consists of 100 crunches, 90 jumping jacks, 80 lunges (40 each leg), 70 squats, 60secs running in place, 50sec plank, 40 jumping jacks, 30 squats, 20 high knees and 10 pu...
