I run 3 times a week, do 2 spin classes, swim once a week and do a weights or crossfit session once a week. I find when I try to run 4 or 5 times a week, then the other sessions disappear.

The important thing is to find something active that you love. That can be water aerobics, table tennis, canoeing or dancing - any kind. The important thing is to protect your joints until your weight has dropped and ENJOY the activity you choose.

I highly recommend early morning or early evening runs. Mid day runs can be excruciating, and dehydration is a major concern. Work out early, then enjoy the beach or some recreation in the afternoon.
