Don't strain your neck and nape..

I haven't done crunches in a while but I remember learning from a fitness instructor that we have to make sure that we don't strain our neck and nape. For beginners, try putting both arms on your sides and let your abs pull you up. It's difficult and won't take you far up but repetition is the key! As you feel the pressure on your core muscles, you can put your hands very lightly on either side of your head and try reaching a little farther on counts of 3. I hope this helps! :')

The best way to do crunches for me, is don't do them at all. There are a lot of ab exercises that can do more for you like planks, or leg raise, etc. Personally I like running or any cardio instead.

Different folks, different strokes. I don't think you can tell me what works and what doesn't. The guide actually is for crunches, not whether or not you do them. There's a presupposition that the person who comes here naturally will be one who's doing crunches. Thanks for the "encouragement" anyway.

Nyaay! (I sounded like a troll) forgive me, just wanted to make conversation.. hehehe.. though there are studies truly that crunches tend not to really work with regards to ab work outs.. its true! I'm not lying, its really a sounded good, I think I remember it from Tony Horton or someone.. anyway... you don't need them crunches :) you still look great without them.

Trying to appease me, eh? Hmph! I know about those alternatives to crunches, mr. trolley.. I can be a troll too, sometimes. X') I love you.. Now, I'm off to do my 50. You have to think ofma better, creative way to stop me from doing them!
