Arnaud L asked the question in 8 minute wall squat …
Why? Why does the wall squat is that hard? After generally 2 minutes, I am struggling and my feet start to be slippery... Then, they are slipping more and more and more until I give up because the pain in my tights makes me suffering a lot.Arriving to the point, does it exist anything to avoid slipping?

I think it is likely that you need to strengthen your thighs and glute muscles, as it is probably these giving way that result in you 'slipping' - try some squats with a bench press bar

Strong gluteus help. Actually strong gluteus are a magic muscle for many sports...from running to swimming, to squatting...

It's not that hard Arnaud, you just need to work on improving your leg muscles - they're obviously very weak at the moment.

We are having a company internal challenge of wall sitting and I wanna win! Last week I made it up to 7min 20sec. This morning after 2 min I thought that there is no way I could make it up to 8 minutes today. The first 5 minutes were terrible painful! But then I kind of got used to it and at 7’30 I knew that I can do even over 8minutes. The last seconds were awful though but I made it up to 9min 5sec!!
So I think that mental strength can help in this sport too. If you really, really want, then you force yourself to ignore the pain. And if you don’t give up just because of your legs are on fire but first when your muscles fail. Then you will make fast development in this exercise.

A good pair of shoes (sport) should help alleviate the sliding. I know what you mean though, my thighs always shake n tremble doing this challenge ... lol .... it looks easy but its not if its done correctly. Good Luck :)

It might be the tights that are resulting in some slippage?
