A few of my favourites; 'Pain is weakness leaving the body.' 'Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.' 'Impossible is nothing.' 'An underdog can become a champion through hard work, determination and hustle.' The last one is my personal favourite. Merely because it spells it out simply. I think it's from the Rocky films IIRC.
I use the 'pain is weakness leaving the body' mantra when I'm struggling with a run. I've passed it on to friends too and we all agree that it really helps

Okay, he was being chased by hideous, flesh-eating monsters at the time but those words help me push through my reps. Weird, ya, I know but what are some of the real-life monsters that could catch me if I stop moving? Depression? Health risks associated with weight gain? I do know for sure that the pain sets in when I "take a break" from working out. Not only do my joints get stiff but my trainer kicks my booty around the gym when he sees me!
