+1 on Katie Taylor, she's an amazing boxer! I'd love to see Kieran Behan, the male gymnast do well. He's had an extaordinary journey so far with multiple injuries. He was told he'd never walk again at one stage and had a severe brain injury too. He's defied all the odds so far and I'd love to see him get a medal in London.
I did a post on him a few days ago Tir Na n'Og. He has actually been paralysed twice in his life. It's a truly amazing story.

Oh I didn't see your earlier post Nick. But that man is a hero in my books. His experiences with injury and rehabilitation really put things into perspective!
You're right Ruth - he is a real inspiration and a true Hero. The other guy I like is Jason Smyth - he has run 4/100th of a second outside the olympic A qualifying 100 m time - and he is blind.
