I very much doubt Sinead that cafeine free tea does anything more than take away the natural boost that caffeine brings. i read information labels on such teas/coffees and they never make such a claim

Sinéad M asked the question in Give your skin a natural boost -2 litres of water per day for a month…
I drink a lot of rooibos tea, which is naturally caffeine-free, as are many other herbal teas. No caffeine means that they don't have the same dehydrating diuretic effect as regular tea or coffee. As the aim of the challenge is to boost hydration, does drinking these sorts of teas count towards my 2L per day?

i cant see why not, i think trying to drink 2 litres of water when you're not used to it can be fairly difficult, so drinking plenty of caffeine free tea should be an issue, especially since its only tea leaves and water! when i did this challenge i drank plenty of chinese tea and caffeine freee green tea too :)
Thanks Cindy. It really can be hard to consciously drink all that water!
Cindy L encouraged this.
Exactly, the whole point is to get you used to it so you keep your body hydrated. i believe i've read somewhere that by the timje you physically feel thirsty, you're already dehydrated. so i would normally alternate between chinese/green tea and water, and always keeping a bottle of water at hand. Good luck!

I drink rooibos and honey, has been helping me cut out coffee completely, but, I rate it counts towards your 2l.
Cheers Adam! I've stopped drinking coffee and regular tea completely now, and I hardly miss them at all (though sometimes, the smell of rich coffee, mmmmm!)

Yep ... mmmm for the smell of rich coffee! I try to stick to a good cup of tea in the morning to wake me up and 1 green tea in the afternoon + water for the rest of the day. I do tend to drink mostly in the mornings though. Can't figure out why...!
