Sore neck...

Day 5 and my neck is very sore. I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong here. Any tips on how to correct my technique to prevent this? Doing reverse crunches this evening to alleviate the pressure.

Hi Mel, try using one hand behind your head & one hand on your ab's & alternate the hands every 20 crunches, the idea is that you dont use your arms to put stress on the neck but rather your stomach musscles. Also its very important to keep your back flat on the floor & hold your pelvic floor up so that you dont hurt your lower back. Hope this helps let me know. Cheers Rog

Hi, sorry been away a couple of days and haven't seen your comments. Thanks for answering my question. Sharon, I'm doing a combination of different crunches, normal, side, reverse, double. I think I was not using my core enough and relying too much on my neck??? 

Roger I've tried your method and it seems to work really well, my neckache has gone now. Thanks again guys.
