I don't play rugby, but swear by For Goodness Shakes Chocmalt after a 2 hour run or any other really strenuous exercise. After it, I don't seem to ache the next day.

Steve R asked the question in Rugby Backs …
I use CNP pro-recover - anything else good - be great to help the bruises recover as well!

My protein's recovery shake is very good- plus a good ol sports massage ;)

I might be late on this, but usually a good protein works form. Like 100% Whey by Optimum Nutrition. I usually mix it with milk after a game. I sometimes make my own protein drink with skimmed milk and 4 eggs as a base; then add fruit or peanut butter along with some sugar for flavour.

Great review on the product too Crib http://beta.tribesports.com/products/1635915 Im tempted to try! i hate the sports gels as a rule, so worth trying a new approach!
