I'd say Bournemouth beach, but I've not really had chance to take a dip anywhere else recently! Also...its not very wild! :-D But it is nice and convenient! :-)

Boscombe Beach is also lovely and a little quieter - I'm not hugely confident in the sea but it was calm and sunny

Llyn Bochlwyd is one of my favourite spots. Go early in the morning or late in the evening when there's no walkers around and it's a little piece of heaven.

Lough Lene in County Westmeath, Ireland is the most wonderful lake i have swam in. I was there last summer at sunset and it was mighty. I have lived so close to this lake for a decade and never made the 30 minute journey over as I always swam in my local lake. But this is a fab lake, spring fed, crystal clear and there is a safe area for beginners.
