I'm not a cycling enthusiast, but I found the announcement of an event cycling enthusiasts among us might be interested in. This is an overnight bicycle right through the Thar Desert during the full moon night of November 28, 2012. I thought this might be interesting to some of us. Here is the web link:

I find it intrsting but need lot of time and courage to participate.. last November I visted Jaisalmer. ... so aware about it's tough terrain. I went upt to Tanot (BSF Last post to border) and visited Longeval battle field area (1971 war famous).. I have some pics.. shall post here to share with you all.
