Ankle problems... Anyone else or just me?

Am transitioning from trail shoes into VFFs - doing about 60% in VFF... Going well, BUT.... Have noticed that now, every time I run in trail shoes, I go over on my ankle (OUCH! - am applying frozen peas as we speak - bad one today)... But never used to.......

I would. I was born and raised out in the country and only wore shoes when I went to school as a kid, so I have always been a barefooter. I naturally walk and run better barefoot. I've never been able to run in shoes at all for the very reason you're having...

I think the inportant thing is to build up your miles first so that you are dealing with stronger muscles. Try adding Bowerman strides and some barefoot turf running.

I am sorry, but that does not seem like a question I can or should answer via TS. I know it sucks if I tell you that you should go to see a doctor, but it seems to be the best solution. If he or she allows it, start running again, but go for short distances...
