I live in New York City, I did bikram on and off for about 2 years but I've become more committed to my practice over the past 4 months and I love it. And as a beginner runner, bikram pairs perfectly with it.

It's not that bad. The thing to remember is to wipe off perspiration & have dry clothes to put on before leaving so you don't get chilled.
What I do is wear a sports bra top & yoga shorts, or maybe an athletic bikini under a hoodie & runnin...

I've been going 2-3 times a week, haven't been logging the training as much as I should.
Right now in Wisconsin, winter is not going without a fight. It's been really cold, more snow toda. A hot studio room has been a very nice place to go. I...

The studio where I go to runs the temperature between 105 & 110. I'm comfortable with that. Actually in the middle of winter I'm LOVING it.
During a session I wear very little, like a sport bra top & shorts (the other night I wore one of my wor...

I wish I could get a definitive answer on this one too. My yoga instructor says around 900 calories but when I do the online calorie counter it says around 400. It's a good question.

After nearly 3 and a half years of practicing Bikram yoga, I've shed off some pounds and a couple of inches from my waist. I've also developed toned muscles in my arms and legs. I've noticed, however, that I still have a bit of that unwanted belly...
Adrian M answered the question Why does a Bikram Yoga class last 90 minutes?
The standing poses supposedly serve as the warm-up for the "real" yoga that's done in the Floor Series. The first 45 minutes of the class gets the heart and lungs worked up, opens up the major joints, bends and stret...

Kristin M asked Head rushes?
Thought I would struggle with headaches when I started hot yoga, but it almost seems to help them... I get a lot of head rushes coming up from inverted postures though, even when i go slowly. Is it just something to get used to, or maybe because I...
