Gulmarg, don't have too much curry before going on to the ski slope, people behind you will suffer

I've just booked a short trip to Gulmarg, Kashmir, I'm very excited about the endless powder runs and sheer wilderness.  Has anyone skied there?  Any tips or advice would be helpful!

Some travel insurance companies will cover off piste on the winter sports inclusion - try Virgin insurance, they cover me for it all year round at little extra cost.

You can get an extra insurance especially for skiing off-piste which cost usually between 20 to 40 £ for a single trip (~ 1 week) or between 35 and 80 yearly, if you think you will be doing off-piste more often.

I know it’s not in the spirit of free riding but does anyone know if it is possible to get insurance for doing it because I know regular snow sports insurance doesn’t cover me for off piste skiing!
