Interval Training

Studies have shown that fitness can be improved significantly through interval training and many fitness experts believe that it is the most effective form of training. Whether you want to improve your 5km time, run a marathon or use interval training to improve your fitness for teams sports, please post your best training routines here (interval lengths, rest length, number of repetitions, frequency of training).

Daniel H Interval Training Tribe

Contributorsilver Daniel H LOVE the HIIT!! I like to keep it unstructured on a stationary bike. I vary my times all the time i.e. 1 min high intensity, 1 min low intensity, then 3 mins high intensity, 1 1/2 minute low intensity etc low intensity I set it around levels 7-11, high intensity 12-17. Have had great fitness gains and weight loss benefits while keeping lean muscle mass.
