Muddy Runners

Thanks for the tips...I have signed up for my first 12km obstacle race....anyone know where else I can get a good training program for this?

I'd agree that Spartan was harder than Tough Mudder, although I found the obstacles at my particular Spartan Race to be far less sophisticated or well thought out. Running in the Rat Race/Dirty Weekend in May, that should be far more demanding

Mile for Mile I think Spartan miles are tougher but Tough Mudders obstacles are alot more difficult as a whole. Im running a Savage Race in April so I have my fingers crossed that they step it up to the same level as Mudder and Spartan.

Nice guide Muddy :)  Did my first mud race last weekend 8mile and loved it - they had to smash up the ice on top of the puddles/craters beforehand - it was very cold :).  Next one booked in for 26th Jan and it's also a night run - can't wait

If you haven't done one yet, start with a 5k obstacle race. Never Pass Up a waterpoint. I wouldn't reccomend the Spartan series for a first obstacle race, their more TOUGH and BRUTAL then they are fun...I love ...
