Joanna G Running for a loved one lost? Tribe

Contributorgold Joanna G my mom died of osteosarcoma...she didn't have the healthiest of lifestyles...she had to wait a little bit for her stone because the people she put in charge of her arrangements did not handle their business so i gave her my word that i would take care of it ...i don't care what she did or didn't do when she was on this plane because if it wasn't for her i wouldn't exist....but like i said she didn't have the healthiest of lifestyles when she was alive ...unfortunately, i have a better relationship with her now than when she was alive but she is still my mom and i love her

Renee R Running for a loved one lost? Tribe

Contributorgold Renee R The very first run organized run I participated in was the Susan g komen race for the cure and my sister ran it with me. She died this past November and although we didn't run together and for the last 6 months of her life she was in a wheelchair, I think of her every time I do a run, especially in June when our local komen run comes around. How fitting to have a tribe like this. I'm so glad to have joined.

Contributorgold Jane H This is for Mum on Sunday. I have selected a sample of the dried flowers from Dad's wreath and had them mounted in a shadow box. I know she is just going to love this, cherish it and will be a blubbering mess!

Thanks Joe, it is such a beautiful replica/sample. I am not sure what to do with the wreath though now! It is 11 months today since Dad passed away. I haven't been able to move it from my dining table, but now that I have the display for Mum I am thinking I might mulch the wreath and give some to my siblings, like potpourri perhaps.

Hey Jane, you might be able to use some of the flatter leaves to laminate into a bookmark with a photo of your Dad and a poem, or what you have written on your tribute bib. Then you and your family have your Dad with you everytime you enjoy a good book.

Hi Kate, I think what you are experiencing is very much part of the grieving process. At first you do feel angry and resentful that you have lost your sister. As time goes on you can start to see hope, focusing on all the good times, what...
