Contributorbronze Ashley R I had a free session at my gym with a personal trainer, so I said why not take it, right? Wrong. I was in excrutiating pain for over a week. He never told me to stretch, and since I was a newbie, I didn't realize how important that is right before a workout. I couldn't stand up, sit down, walk or anything really for like 8 days. Luckily I take a stress management course on my campus, because that week was yoga week. I pressed on through the pain, and all the stretching from the yoga actually cured my problem. By that afternoon I was fine haha. Now I stretch every morning. Just a few basics. Best thing I ever did!

Barry R Stretching & Recovery Tribe

Barry R I am looking for advice.........I was at the doctors two days ago and he said that I had soft tissue damage to my left ankle caused by my running. What I would like to know is, apart from getting better footwear what can I do apart from resting to help get a faster recovery as I am anxious to get out running again?

Abby P i have had lower back pain for two weeks now i have been stretching and working on maintaining a strong posture but the pain does not go way! What should i do any exercised specifically for the lower right side of the back?

nope none just every time i get out of bed this pain kills me it goes away after awhile but it happens every morning! i sleep on a futon so that might be the problem but it never happened before until recently!
