Amy I Last Saturday (June 1st) I did the Newport Oregon Marathon. Most of the entire race was on the coast line. It was very beautiful and well supported. I would definintely recommend this race to anyone!

Of the really big races Chicago has a good reputation. Then from the next tier of 'races you've heard of' there is the Walt Disney World marathon. After that there are any number of smaller races where you wont climb 100 feet. Your finishing time...

Have my place in the CCC. Will let you know how it goes. Any fellow tribesmen/women who have experience of this or similar runs, I'd love to hear an advice you can throw my way.

I agree, I did Athens in 2011 and found it pretty dull except of it's historical significance of course. But it was well organised and the finish in Panathinaiko Stadium was pretty cool though.

Signed up for the CCC yesterday. Part of the UTMB. Have to wait to see if I get my place but 100 km in the Alps should be pretty spectacular.

Rome marathon! Absolutely Stunning! Best way to tour around the city! Fairly flat course (a bit hilly on the last couple of miles), and cheap, it was 30 euros in 2010.
Highlight: Halfway point, when it leads you towards St. Peter's Basilica! The...

I'd love to do the Giant's Causeway Marathon in Ireland. I'm not big into trail running, but this off-road event looks incredible. I've been there as a tourist and would love to run it on day, even if just for the craic! :)
