Just say f**k it regardless of wind, rain, snow or whatever the condition, wrap up warm and go for it when you feel when going for a plod would be my advise.

Keep hydrated because you don't feel as thirsty as when it's hot. Wear running tights (leggings) they are warmer than you think and make sure you wear something to cover your ears and wear gloves and try some that are...
