There are those fortunate folks that have had the wonderful opportunity of taking their running to new levels all across the globe. Here's a tribe to tell us where you've been, what you've done and where you would like to go. Would love to hear tales of your favorite running haunts and why those areas are near and dear to your heart or just a plain why it was great to run there.

hmmmm i'd say on Shark bay, Koh Tao, Thailand. Its a tiny island which is ideally situated for diving, but its so visually stunning, its like a paradise island. Running on the beach was great first thing in the morni...

I have had a chance to run in several different parts of China; Bejing, Xian, Suzhou. All of these places were a bit difficult to run in because of the smog, but fun to see the different cities.

Sharon,
I live in Chiang Mai, and yes it is very humid but a great place to run. If you are ever up this way let me know, we could go for a mountain run.

I'd have to say Margit-sziget (Margaret Island) in Budapest. It was beautiful, running around the island and getting to see the fort, parliament, and other building across the river. But the island itself was really...

There is a small tropical Island in the middle of the Indian Ocean called Diego Garcia - beautiful place with beach and jungle. Ran my first of two Ironmen events there (would love to run more) and had a blast! The...

Kota Kinabalu in Borneo. Was on ma hols there a couple of years ago.
I wouldn't say it was the best place to run in but the most exotic place was in Mubarak Military City in Egypt. Way back in another life I was in the ARMY and we were doing a training exercise there. I would get up early and run around this crazy...

As a country, New Zealand must be just about the best place to run... whatever running you love. If, like me, you love trails, we have trails next to lakes, next to the sea, through National Parks, over mountains, around and over volcanoes... we h...

My favorite place to run, even after my travels is my home state of Colorado. The climate is great and there are so many places on road, off road, flat, hills and mountains to pick from that it's crazy. The area where I live at the moment has re...

Never been to NY but it's on my list of places I would like to visit. Kinda wondering what the rules are about running on Liberty Island ;) Too bad Lady Liberty...

I just found some great websites that do group runs through London and Dublin. I'm sure they have these types of tours in other cities too. When we head off on vacation again, I think we might take up the chance to join one. There seems to...

I've had the chance to run in Paris, London, Jamaica, and Montreal.
Paris: I ran just to say I ran near our hotel in Montparnasse area of Paris. It was a quiet run, my assumption is because that area is part of the business section of Paris. T...

It sounds like you have run in some beautiful places Dwight. I did a lot of running in Spain and it was not usual to see a woman running where I lived (in a traditional, non English speaking town in the North) I used to see people stop dead in th...
