I mainly do martial arts (jkd) but try to improve on the fitness. I used to do a bit of running (well, jogging) and got up to 6 miles...about 20 years ago and am trying to get my fitness level up.

Carry on for sure, am sure you did more incidental exercise than you realise anyway - running for buses?? Keep it up :)

Personal choice I suppose Carla, I'm doing 1/2hr minimum per day so if I go above that it's just a bonus and still do the next day. However, on busy days I will count the time it takes me to do my daily challenges, yoga/stretching etc to make the time up, if that makes sense?
