Loren O Hi Buddy. Thanks for the follow! Following back now. I'm doing my 1st Tough Mudder in April. I can't wait! What did you think of it?

I did both of them at mt. snow, vermont. the first time was brutal as i had not properly trained for the hills. with the combination of cold weather at 10,000 feet, freezing water obstacles, i succumbed to cramps on both legs 3/4 of the way. luckily, i joined with a friend of mine who encouraged me to continue and i did. the 2nd time was a blast. this time i did the proper hill training and although the course was still tough, became very manageable. am planning to do my 3rd mudder, again in vermont though at a later time in the year (august) so luckily not as cold. join with a group of friends if you can.at the very least, one person you know. you both will need the encouragement to tackle tough obstacles. train properly and have the right equipment. kayak gloves, dry fit shirt and shorts. trail shoes (if you ave a pair. if not, a pair of sneakers you don't mind giving way at the end) and bring gels, nutrition bars. there are hydration stations and food (bananas) that they give away but they are far in between and not enough. if you want to carry a light camelback, it would help too. so many participants wanted a drink and wanted to buy my bars off me. have fun. cheers

Thanks for the feedback. You've definitely put a different spin on it than what I've heard before. Although, the hills seem to be becoming standard fare in the tougher runs. I've done some other runs but they've all been ~5k. Thanks again!
