Mum of 5 grown up kids and need to get in shape and lose some weight. So in January I started running and couldn't run for a minute! Completed couch to 5k in 6 weeks, have now completed a 10 miles. Feels so good being out in the fresh air in all weather and enjoying it. Ran the Great South Run in October which is a 10mile run around Portsmouth and Southsea in 2hr 3min 6sec which I was very pleased with and still cant believe I ran it and would have laughed if someone had said back in January that I would be running 3 times a week and doing a 10 mile run. Don't ever say you can't run, if I can do it anyone can. Speed does not matter a mile is a mile!
