the sounds and smells, the feelings, nerves,excitement. the hustle and bustle. pre race checks and run throughs. slow time quick time .family and friends, competitors. and in the middle of the rising tannoyed tension.................there's you..............and your heart beat...........the master and commander of your race destiny, your gentle thought's and your quickening breath. the water awaits. you wont finish with the fastest time but you will have your victory on crossing that finish line, for we all have our own podiums to stand atop the podiums of self respect,achievement and Kudos.......The finish line changes all that cross him and with a knowing smile he nods and winks then say's "i'll be seeing you again then"! and you know your hooked.I did my first Triathlon (8th sept 2012) now i hope to improve next year with a season of Olympic distance Tri's with a view to doing an Iron man in 2 years time. wow looks mental when i write it down :)
