so.... major changes to sporting goals. Long story short, now have a long road ahead of me of rehabilitation.
Goal #1 Regain leg/foot movement (done)
Goal#2 Be able to walk without brace
Goal#3 Be able to drive car again
Goal#4 Be able to exercise again
Goal#5 No recurrence
Just a little about me - I´m a New Zealander living in Spain. Love almost any sport especially Muay Thai (although have recently been told to give it up for life) and going out cycling or hiking with my husband. Have a recent addition to the family who will hopefully develop our love for sport and the outdoors too :) Although I wouldn´t be surprised if she goes for kickboxing (I can testify for her lethal kick already) or racing cars as a drive in the car wakes her up and makes her smile instead of sending her off to sleep :)

Brad N Thanks Ingrid, I really am lucky here in Wellington, we have such great mountain bike trails in Karori, Miramar and Wanuiomata, but the road cycling is pretty damn good as well!!
Ingrid R Maybe I should start logging my exercises with weights. Started at 4.2kg and increasing by about 200g per week
