I exercise almost everyday at home. I do some fitness and I have an elliptical bike. I like to go running when it's not too cold outside and I'd love to find the time to take karate and yoga lessons.

Mar B When I run it's easy for me to get my heart rate to 160-170, but with the elliptical trainer it gets almost impossible to pass 150. Do someone have the same problem? Any suggestions?? I've tried with different levels of resistance, but it doesn't get better. My legs end burning as if I was doing squats, but my pulse is just the same...

...system. Your legs burn because you ramp up the resistance and you end up accumulating bioproducts in your cells that create the burn and cramps. If you want to do cardio. I would use the rowing machine, that you will like or a spinning bike, download a 45 min spinning guided podcast and rock it!

I know... It's not my favorite machine either, but I have one at home, that's why it'd be great if I could take advantage of it. I really prefer running or swimming or whatever I can do outdoors, but somedays I have no time to do that... I'm thinking about doing some burpees and some jumping jacks instead and I probably will get more cardio than with the elliptical trainer...

Mar B I'm 27 (and a girl) and my pulse is usually around 60, but I've never checked it just after waking up, so... We'll see tomorrow...

I checked 3 times this morning, the first one it was 59, the other two it was 60... !!! I'm so close... I think it's time to go for a run!
