Ben S achieved the Bronze One to Watch medal
I'm running this year's London Marathon in aid of Crisis the national charity for single homeless people. They are dedicated to ending homelessness through education, employment, housing and well-being services address individual needs and help people to transform their lives. I've done some volunteering in the past and have seen the difference that their work can make.

Ben S Steve - Any advice on Carb loading for the VLM 2011? When should I start? What should I eat? I'm a novice!
Nick B encouraged this.
I always tell mates - if you've done a long run in training circa 18miles or so, relax and stop worrying about the day - you've done the training, and the crowd will give you a good few miles - you've done the hardest part slogging out training runs in the winter with no support. It truly is an amazing day - enjoy it mate. Look forward to hearing how it goes

Just over 17 miles is my longest run and I felt in good shape after that, could easily have carried on! I even ran the touch line for my team's football match. Thank you so much for your advice, it's much appreciated.

wow Andy, what a phenomenal Challenge - you should set up a Challenge page here: http://tribesports.com/challenges/new You can add photos, updates on how the Challenge is going, guides of things you've learnt along the way, and you can also link in all of your fundraising activity, so people can see the great things you're doing, and donate to your cause.

Ben S answered the question Anyone recommend good, scenic gentle walking routes in London?
If you're in North London You can do a really nice walk from Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace via the Parkland Walk: about four miles in total and you can also go via Highate Woods too.

Ben S Less than two week to the marathon - gulp! Very nervous now but really looking forward to it. Have I done enough training?
